[…] Two performers face each other, their gazes interlocked. Each is positioned inside one of two non-concentric circles. As one performer moves, the other must alter their position to maintain a constant distance, which they agreed to keep between them at the beginning of the performance. All of this happens while the performers maintain eye contact. At some point, however, this becomes impossible as the circles are not concentric. When this happens, the performers must start over in an endless game of continual negotiation.

Dans Two Planets Have Been Colliding for Thousands of Years [Deux planètes entrent en collision depuis des milliers d’années] de Dora García, deux interprètes se font face, leurs regards rivés l’un·e à l’autre. Les deux sont positionné·es à l’intérieur de deux cercles non concentriques respectifs. Pendant qu’un·e des interprètes se déplace, l’autre doit modifier sa position pour maintenir la distance que les deux ont accepté d’avoir entre elleux au début de la performance. Les interprètes ne cessent de se regarder dans les yeux. À un moment, cela devient toutefois impossible, les cercles n’étant pas concentriques. Quand cela se produit, les interprètes doivent recommencer cet infini jeu de négociations.
